Foo Kok Lan

Named after my paternal grandmother, this work serves as an investigation into my relationship with my culture and family history. Foo Kok Lan is a collaborative work between me and my paternal grandmother, consisting a collection of works that document our efforts in finding connections lost due to our generational divide, including portraits of each other, in the form of paintings, drawings and photography.
